This kind of prefab cold stores consist of framework structure, prefab insulation panels and other construction members. The material of two sides of insulation panel is 0.6mm thick color steel sheet, aluminum sheet or stainless steel sheet and the core material is rigid polyurethane or polystyrene. Such insulation panel is of less weight than conventional construction materials by 5%~10%.

Prefab insulation panel

The insulation panel is characterized by light weight, high strength, good insulation and simple installation, which creates short construction period and low construction cost, Therefore, Utilization of polyurethane or polystyrene in main building members of prefab cold stores set a trend of cold store construction. There are two kinds of insulation panels available for use in prefab cold stores: polyurethane insulation panel and polystyrene insulation panel. The polyurethane panel is mainly applied for freezing stores and low temperature cold stores due to its higher strength and better insulation than polystyrene panel. Whereas the polystyrene insulation panel with good insulation and moderate cost is widely applied in the building members of simple low-temperature cold stores, high-temperature cold stores and food processing shops for industrial and residential uses.
